Coachella 2017 – Day 3
Crop Top: Calvin Klein, Shorts: Topshop, Flannel: H&M, Boots: Steve Madden, Sunnies: Quay
Last day. 😔
So sad to leave. Yet so happy to get away from all of this dust.
Did I mention I had the flu all week? So yea Coachella was a flu fun weekend! Not. Well yes fun minus the flu. Let’s just say Thera Flu and I became very close friends.
Although the music was amazing, and I did on average 18k steps per day (yes I’m a dork and closely followed my step count throughout the weekend), I will say Coachella is slightly overhyped. Yes Future was amazing and probably made my day, month, year, life, I don’t think the thousands of dollars you spend on this trip is worth it, unless you purchase a VIP ticket. I know part of the festival experience is to deal with the crowds and cautious, but when you think about dropping $400 a ticket, having to for freakin water ($2 a bottle, ridiculous), never getting close enough to the stage to see the artist, the hundreds on a hotel, and everything else, is it really worth it? Hmmm I’m not so sure. My best friend and I who planned the trip together both agreed that we wouldn’t come back unless we could afford VIP so we could actually get closer to the stage.
The fashion is also a bit overrated. I will admit I’m one of those people who came for the fashion. But honestly even that wasn’t the most exciting. Everyone dressed just about the same. I could some up the fashion like this:
Bandanas, black, lace, transparent fabrics, bandanas, jean shorts, bracelets, gold temporary tattoos, bandanas.
I didn’t see as many floral headbands as what I thought, but I think that’s been replaced with bandanas. Seriously, they were everywhere.
I also didn’t see any celebs. I’m pretty sure weekend one was the time to be at Coachella. There were more special guest performances and there were more celebrities. I also didn’t see any bloggers, vloggers, viners, ig famous people, or anything in between. I mean there were thousands of people here so I know some came this weekend, but some of my top favs came weekend 1, and then for some reason had other obligations during week 2.
All in all I had a great time. I got to celebrate my best friend’s 24th birthday with her, which was crazy because we haven’t been around for each others birthdays in a while. I also loved meeting up with a lot of my friends, which was tough because it’s so difficult to navigate the festival, it’s hard to find a meeting place everyone can find! I’ll definitely be back, especially if Future will be 😊.
O M G – Kendrick Lamar was amazing by the way way. Didn’t know too many sounds but he’s a great performer for sure, and his new album pretty amazing! Maybe I’ll come up with a Post Coachella workout playlist to share some of my favs!
