New Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell ‘Benicio’ Ankle Boots

While I was shopping around Nordstrom in San Francisco I stumbled upon these beauties. Amazing, crazy beautiful black Jeffrey Campbell booties with black chains on the back. The $200 price tag definitely made me nervous, very nervous actually because I don’t think I’ve ever spent that much on shoes ever. Probably because I’m clumsy and I trip and fall always so wearing $200+ shoes and scuffing them freaks me out, so I never dared to try. I personally don’t think you need to spend a bunch to get cute shoes, I usually rotate through my Steve Madden combat boots and my nicer looking Just Fab boots (which are $39.99). So to say $200 was a stretch for me is an understatement. (And yes I know I spend a lot on handbags but that’s different, so no need to point out πŸ˜…) I’m still pondering returning them because of the price tag, but they’re so beautiful I felt like they at least deserved a quick spotlight.

Normally I’m a size 9, but I went up to a 9 1/2 because the ankle part of the shoe was a little tighter than I wanted it to be. After I went up half a size, they fit perfectly. I walked around with them for quite a while because they are definitely a statement piece that I’m not so sure I wanted to invest in, but they are very very comfortable. I love that they’re a statement piece, but they’re not 5 inch heels or anything crazy. I walk to the train and like I said I’m kinda, well very clumsy, so I don’t need extra height that will make moving around even harder to do. Overall, I love the shoes. They’re black (my go-to color), they have chains on the back of them (which I live for), they have a cool shape to them, and they’re the perfect height for non-heel wearing girls.

I guess if you see me feature these again I’ve decided to keep them. If not, these shoes will stay the love of my life (in crazy shoe fan girl world lol).
